Holly Fischer has been passionately dedicated to cultivating her unique voice as a contemporary figurative sculptor for more than a decade. She received a BA in Studio Art, with honors, from Meredith College in 1999. She went on to earn an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin in Ceramics in 2004. Holly Fischer has exhibited her work nationally and won numerous awards, including Sculptor of the Year from the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and the Marie P. Cowen Fellowship in Ceramics from the Worcester Center for Crafts. She has taught at the Savannah College of Art and Design and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Holly Fischer currently lives in Raleigh, NC where she is teaching and creating a new body of work.
